Introduction
This is the first PREEMPTIVE workshop concerned with understanding, promoting, and accelerating the adoption of protective systems for building seismic response reduction to provide for resilient and sustainable societies. The workshop is to be held in partly conjunction with the JAEE International Symposium on Earthquake Engineering held at the Institute of Industrial Science of the University of Tokyo. This event provides an opportunity to build and strengthen an international community for researchers who share interests in seismic protective systems for civil structures.Topics
- Earthquake engineering
- Protective systems
- Seismic isolation
- Structural control
- Earthquake early warning system
- Real-time hybrid simulation
