Visit to the base-isolation story of the civil engineering and architecture
building and full-scale experimental base-isolated building in Aoba-yama
campus, Tohoku University.
11:00 - 11:25
Drive along the tsunami affected coastal areas by bus.
Around Higashi-Matsushima, removal of salt from the fields is underway.
11:25 - 12:10
Lunch at a restaurant in Matsushima
13:50 - 14:30
Hiyoriyama-park, Ishinomaki city. The park is on the top of a hill, which commands
panoramic view of tsunami affected Ishinomaki city.
15:45 - 16:10
Visit to a structural remain of the disaster managiment center building of Minami-Sanriku.
The rusted skeleton of the tsunami hit building is preserved until 2031.

Arrive back at Sendai station and adjourn Workshop
